Admission Procedure for B.Ed in Rajasthan

Admission to various teacher training institutions in the state of Rajasthan is done through Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET). Graduates from any of the recognized Universities with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. PTET is an objective model test comprising questions on mental ability, teaching attitude, general awareness and language proficiency. Application forms for attending PTET can be collected from their office by paying application fee of Rs. 500/-

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed in Rajasthan

Candidates having secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in bachelor’s/master’s degree are eligible to apply. The qualification must be obtained either from Narain Vyas University or any other recognized university. Reserved category students like SC/ST and OBC need to hold a minimum aggregate of 45% marks only. Those applicants who have not studied through 10+2+3 scheme and who have attended only one university examination at graduate level (in correspondence mode of study) is exempted from participating in the selection process.

Final year students holding the above mentioned qualifications can also participate in the selection process.


Admission Procedure for B.Ed in Rajasthan

Candidates with adequate eligibility should qualify an entrance exam called ‘Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET)’ for seeking admission to various teacher training institutions in the state. PTET is conducted as an objective model test having time duration of 3 hours.  There will be four sections for this single paper test.

  • Mental Ability
  • Teaching Attitude & Aptitude Test
  • General Awareness, and
  • Language Proficiency

There will be 50 questions in each section. Each correct answer carries 3 marks to make a total of 600 marks.
